Tournament Schedule
Note to All: Team Trail Team of Year (T.O.Y) will be determined using the Total Points accumulated during the 12 Scheduled Events. (tie-breaker will be most events fished) T.O.Y receives Free Pass during the Fishoff. T.O.Y. will receive FREE berth to the SAF National Championship, Placques/Rods, & Travel Stipen at HSFWF/SAF Nationals upon Registration/Checkin at HSFWF.
Point Standings for the year will be based on YOUR Best 8 of 12 Events during the Year. To Qualify during the year All Teams that compete and QUALIFY with the Best 8 of 12 Events will Qualify for the Final Fishoff. ALL TEAMS that QUALIFY will be invited to compete at the FISHOFF and TOP Teams by Total Weight will receive the remaining Berths to the SAF National Championship. Entry Fee for Fishoff will be set at $50.00 Per Team with all entry money from Fishoff helping in the amount of Stipend for Teams that Register/Checkin at the HSFWF. ALL TEAMS THAT QUALIFY AND COMPETE IN THE FISHOFF WILL RECEIVE TRAVEL STIPEN TO THE HSFWF UPON CHECKIN. Travel Stipen will be rated in 3 increments. 1. Team of Year, 2. Remaining National Berths, & 3. All Teams competing at Fishoff who Register/Checkin at the High School Fishing World Finals. ENTRY FEE FOR THE TEAM TRAIL FISHOFF IS SET AS $50.00 PER TEAM.
REGULAR SCHEDULED EVENTS 1 THRU 12, ENTRY FEE REMAINS $30.00 PER TEAM.
Attention All SAF High Schools/Clubs: High School Teams consist of 2 members & 1 Boat Captain. Each team is permitted the use of an ALTERNATE 2 times during the Year. Teams can also make use of an OBSERVER a total of 2 times. Once both options are used, the Team can only compete using the original Team Member. Beginning on Date of 1st Scheduled Event, any team needing to use an ALTERNATE or OBSERVER is Required to submit a written document with Name of Member that is serving as an Alternate or Observer to the Tournament Directors of each event and MUST bring a signed Waiver by both members and the Boat Captain. The use of an Alternate /Observer is ONLY permitted during the year for KY SAF Team Trail. Teams that qualify to advance to the HSFWF/SAF National Championship can only advance using the orginal Named Team Members.
Waiver Instructions for KY SAF Team Trail: The link below for the Team Waiver to be filled out is required to have an Individual Signature, dated, & age on the form. Once the 2 Team members & Boat Captain have completed the Waiver, Bring the completed waiver to your 1st Event and turn in to the Tournament Director at Registration. This Waiver will serve for the Team for all scheduled events for the year. (Should any Team make use of the Alternate or Observer, then you are required to submit a NEW waiver containing the named Alternate or Observer.

To Qualify for EOY Fishoff: ALL Teams that compete in 8 of 12 events will be Qualified and all Teams will compete in the FISHOFF.
All Teams that Enter the SAF KY HSSC will earn Dual Points and Entry fees MUST be paid at Registration Checkin on Friday evening. The normal Spreadsheet has a link on the website to fill out and Return spreadsheet on/before NOON Thursday 3/24/2023.
KY SAF High School State Championship on March 25 will be a Scheduled Event for the Team Trail. All Teams competing at the SAF HSSC and also enters the March 25th Dual Cumberland event and Pay’s the $60 entry per TEAM will receive Points for Both Days.
Any Team that so chooses can compete for Points at the SAF KY HSSC for the SINGLE days event by only paying the Team Trail entry of $30. On the 2nd day Team will be listed as DNF for the 2nd day.
