When a person joins the Kentucky Bass Federation, Inc. the Dues Structure for the State Federation is as follows:
New Members can join the Club of their choice, if membership is approved by that club.
Should there be no club near your location, KBF has established a KBF Statewide Bass Club for persons that have no local Bass Club.
The following Dues Breakdown DOES NOT include any Club Dues that each Individual Club may have in their Club by laws.
Federation Dues (both State Dues & National dues)
KBF Bylaws state that
Chapter Dues must be paid to the KBF by December 31st of each year.
Yearly Dues for Current Members and ALL New Members shall be as follows:
KBF State Membership Dues $15.00 per year
TBF National Membership dues $50.00 per year (Online FLW Outdoors Magazine)
Members who join KBF and have no Local Club in their area to join are invited to join the KBF Statewide Bass Club
You can join the Statewide Club at any Divisional Event by paying the required fees of $65.00 in addition to the amount of required Entry Fee for that event.
On the KBF website, click on Members/KBF Statewide Membership Form and mail Form with proper amount of dues to:
At each event make sure that you have ample cash on hand as ALL ENTRY FEES MUST BE PAID IN CASH ONLY……NO EXCEPTIONS
Members in the 11 and under age group that join the KBF Youth Program will pay $40.00 total. This includes $15.00 State Dues & $25.00 TBF National Dues.
SAF (Student Angler Federation) & College clubs. Both of these Programs are totally different Programs from the State Federations.
Each Federation program must fund itself. We cannot use Adult TBF dues to fund SAF programs or visa versa. So SAF Membership Fees is more of a entry fee. TBF does not charge ANY entry fees to any SAF or Junior events, like many states do.
So, SAF Members pay $25.00 directly to TBF for the cost of Running the SAF Program. They are being GIVEN a TBF/ FLW membership for this $25.00 ( for insurance & other reasons) TBF issues a TBF Membership & FLW ELECTRONIC Membership of which TBF bears the expense.
When you decide to join your states Federation, these are separate programs and you are required to pay the KBF, & TBF, & FLW Membership Dues at that time. It is not about making money or TBF would simply NOT charge a $25 SAF membership and start charging entry fees for every event and likely come out ahead. Overall nowhere else can any student participate in the sport for $25 a year, full benefits and NO entry fees.
