At each event make sure that you have ample cash on hand as ALL ENTRY FEES MUST BE PAID IN CASH ONLY……NO EXCEPTIONS
Members in the 11 and under age group that join the KBF Youth Program will pay $40.00 total. This includes $15.00 State Dues & $25.00 TBF National Dues.
SAF (Student Angler Federation) & College clubs. Both of these Programs are totally different Programs from the State Federations.
Each Federation program must fund itself. We cannot use Adult TBF dues to fund SAF programs or visa versa. So SAF Membership Fees is more of a entry fee. TBF does not charge ANY entry fees to any SAF or Junior events, like many states do.
So, SAF Members pay $25.00 directly to TBF for the cost of Running the SAF Program. They are being GIVEN a TBF/ FLW membership for this $25.00 ( for insurance & other reasons) TBF issues a TBF Membership & FLW ELECTRONIC Membership of which TBF bears the expense.
When you decide to join your states Federation, these are separate programs and you are required to pay the KBF, & TBF, & FLW Membership Dues at that time. It is not about making money or TBF would simply NOT charge a $25 SAF membership and start charging entry fees for every event and likely come out ahead. Overall nowhere else can any student participate in the sport for $25 a year, full benefits and NO entry fees.
